about

"Change Is The Only Constant" is Seconds Before's definitive record so far, and we are still playing any and all of these songs in our live show. After releasing the "Galvanic" EP in 2007, we hit our stride writing with Mike and came up with the ten songs that would eventually make up this album over the course of about six months.

The original plan was to do the whole thing with Bill Collins again, and we tracked drums, bass and guitars with him at MasterMix, Castle Productions and IPR. The project hit a bit of a snag when circumstances forced Bill to relocate to Chicago halfway through the project. We were fortunate to be able to connect with Matt Kirkwold and James "Fluff" Harley of World Record Productions who brought us the rest of the way home with vocal production and mixing. Our good friends Dave Young and Ian Allison of Mountainsize Music provided the finishing touches in mastering.
